MAKE UP

Hair for all performances is a Braided Bun.
Accessories should be placed to the right of the bun.

COSTUMES

LABEL EVERYTHING

• Please label all costume pieces, shoes & tights with dancer’s name.  Use a small piece of masking tape and a permanent marker to avoid bleeding through costume fabric.

HANG & ALTER

• Make sure to hang all dance costumes.
• Tutu’s should be hung upside down.
• Costumes should be steamed before dress rehearsal.
• Alterations should be made before dress rehearsal.

ACCESSORIES

• Keep all costume accessories in individual plastic bags and hang with each corresponding costume.
• Tupperware containers are great for keeping bow and flower accessories from getting crushed!

• Competition style earrings (round ‘diamond’ style studs) may be worn.
• No other jewelry may be worn.

TIGHTS & SHOES

• Please check costume list for the appropriate color tights and shoes for each costume.
• Pink Tights are ‘Ballet Pink’
• Tan Tights are ‘Light Suntan’
• Fishnet Tights are ‘Seamless’

YOUNGER DANCERS

• Pink Blush
• Neutral Tone Eye Shadow
• Raspberry-Pink Lipstick
• Mascara

TEEN & SENIOR DANCERS

NAIL POLISH
Please remove all nail polish from fingers and toes.
Clear, neutral and french tips are permitted for recital only.

PACKING

• Dressing Room Entertainment (quiet activities)

DRESSING ROOM

• Please remember to clean up your area in the dressing room.
• Double check that you have all costumes, accessories, tights and shoes before leaving after each dress rehearsal and performance.

BACKSTAGE

ARRIVAL

• Please arrive one hour before the Recital.
• Pre-Ballet may arrive 30 minutes before the Recital
• Place 'quick change' costumes in the back stage area
• Get ready in your first costume and stay in your dressing room

BACK STAGE

• Dancers should be quiet and on best behavior in the dressing rooms and back stage area

PICK UP

• Dancers may be picked up from the dressing room during INTERMISSION or the END OF THE SHOW ONLY!
• Dancers are not permitted in the auditorium the night of the show until after intermission.
• Dancers must stay in a seat and not run around during the show.

AUDIENCE

ETIQUETTE

• Turn all cell phones off or to silent
• Remain seated during the performance
• If you need to exit the auditorium, please do so between numbers
• Absolutely NO photography or video recording during the show
